In the time of the "Julian" calendar they were both the same thing, but the "Gregorian" calendar separated them. A better name for today is " Golôwan ". That is the "Feast of St John (the Baptist)". Druids and pagans gathered together to welcome the sunrise - for the first time since covid-19. There was a large crowd.

Tomorrow will be the solstice, but I won't see the sunrise. The sun will stop above the Tropic of Cancer before going south again (seemingly). Is there a good place for seeing the sunrise in Cornwall?
