I didn't go to Padstow or St Ives for May Day - that was not possible for me. However, there was a crowd of other people in the streets in each churchtown for the traditional processions. Music is alive in Cornwall - you could see lots of accordions and drums and several horns, as well as dancers.

There will be wind. There will be huge waves on the north cost, perhaps 30ft at midday. But the waves won't be good for surfing.
