I like flowers in winter. I need colour. There's a bit of colour in gardens - sometimes there are flowers of shrubs, or bulbs, or there is coloured bark on trees. Florists can get flowers grown in glasshouses. They can be earlier than flowers outside. I love these tulips - purple, yellow, white and lilac. They are not Cornish flowers. A neighbour has forsythia - this is alien, too.
